OODA’s Creative Philosophy and Constructive Dialogue
Established in 2010, OODA – the Oporto Office for Design and Architecture – emerged in Porto, shaped by the international experiences of its founders and partners. Today, it stands as one of Portugal’s leading architectural studios, with a portfolio of cross-border projects that reflect a global outlook grounded in local context.
In this episode, we delve into the creative journey of architect Julião Pinto Leite to explore OODA’s design philosophy and its perspective on the evolving role of architecture in a rapidly changing world.
Among the many accolades that celebrate the studio’s work, notable honours include first prize at the 2012/2013 Architecture Biennial for the Casa Varatojo project, and two Architizer A+Awards – one of which was awarded for Torre 15, also known as the Flower Tower, in Matosinhos, a project that encapsulates OODA’s ethos.
